Quark casserole
From my mom, called “Quarkauflauf” in German.

Components
- Semolina Pudding
Ingredients
- 50g butter100g sugar4 eggs, separatedsemolina pudding500g quark50g chopped hazelnuts50g raisins20g butter flakes
Directions
- Cook the semolina pudding and let it cool.Preheat the oven to 200°C.In a large bowl, mix butter, sugar and egg yolks until foamy. Add the semolina pudding. Add quark, nuts and raisins.Beat the egg whites. Carefully fold into the quark mixture.Generously butter a casserole dish and fill in the mixture. Put butter flakes on top.Place on the lowest rack in the oven and bake for 45min.↓ This is a component-based recipe (fancy talk for making the dish in pieces, then assembling). ↓
Semolina Pudding
Ingredients
- 1l milk250g semolina50g sugara pinch of lemon zesta pinch of salt
Steps
- Combine all ingredients in a pot. Place on the stove and bring to a boil under constant stirring.
